Barcelona overview

Barcelona

We offer Barcelona architecture tours guided by local architects and open visits to architecture studios.

From Romans to the medieval era, from the tough times of the Spanish civil war to the celebration of euphoria presented by the 1992 Olympics, Barcelona is the proud capital of Catalonia and it became one of the most dynamic metropolis in Europe.

Barcelona Modernist  Architecture is represented by the most famous Barcelona building by Gaudi, La Sagrada Familia. Gaudí also designed other impressive buildings such as Casa Batlló, Casa Milà and La Pedrera and also the iconic and wonderful creation The Park Güell. Other unmissable modern constructions every architecture fan should visit are the Palau de La Musica Catalana, the Agbar Tower, the Forum or the Barcelona Pavilion by Mies van der Rohe.

Barcelona’s enchanting architecture is represented by the work of architects such as of Antoni Gaudi, Enric Miralles and J. Puig i Cadafalch representing the city’s avant-garde or others like C. Ferrater, Herzog & de Meuron, Jean Nouvel, Josep Llinás who have left their footprint more recently. It all drives Barcelona to be one of the most visited cities in the world thanks to its wonderful architecture along with a charming atmosphere and its people surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea.
